Found a weird fly in my moth jar
So, remember how my caterpillar pupated? Well, when I went to mist its jar today, I discovered a second resident- a small, strange black fly. It looks something like an ant, as well, though, and oddly enough, seems to have two pairs of backwards laying antennae.
If you’ve got any ideas of what it is, I’d appreciate your imput.

Proof that owls lurk in our pine trees.
I’ve been telling my family for years that we’ve got owls in our pines- sort of unusual, since we live in an area with very few trees. Nevertheless, I can hear them hooting at night, right outside my window. My family always tells me I’m crazy. BUT NOW I HAVE PROOF.

Thinking about drawing a plague doctor.
Mostly to shake people out of their happy-place delusions.
