some craaaaazy shit happened int he last firing and it wasn’t my fault.
Three thin coats of glaze turned into a writhing, crawling nightmare of thick splotches and bald spots.
Cael, these are yours. The insides are perfect- beautiful variations between the alternated coats of white and cobalt. The outsides… well, the glaze crawled. Some spots are naked. Some have lumps of glaze. I think they’re still alright, they just aren’t as perfect as one could hope for.
since it’s closer to my neck of the woods I think I’ll probably be attending next year. You know, talking to people. Making connections. I don’t know if I’ll be throwing between now and then, so it could be useful in finding work in the field, maybe assisting a potter. Who knows.
anyway, can i expect to see any of you there? I wouldn’t mind meeting some of the tumblr ceramicists in person! It isn’t every day I get to fangirl about ceramics and have people get it.
